Facebook Language Settings

Problem
Getting people in the language that is most comfortable for them to understand and interact with through their product experience. This work was also a key piece in keeping Facebook’s community translation process in place as Facebook web went through a redesign.
Solution
Identified the various language settings used across Facebook platforms, and worked closely with the Facebook team to introduce an entry point on the website. To keep the language and region selection experience consistent with the new menu, we updated the dropdowns in Facebook Web settings to include suggested languages and regions with additional info below each option for easy understanding.
